WITB – Whats In The Bag

This is a run through of the equipment i’m currently using out on the course.

Mizuno JPX 800Mizuno JPX 800 (13.5°) – I’ve had this club now for about 18 months

I picked it up second hand as a friend wasn’t getting on with it and although I’ve had some terrible rounds its really helped my driving.

The high loft, 13.5°, for a driver almost makes it a 3 wood and although i’m not hitting it miles it helps to get a nicer flight on the ball.

John Letters T-Series 5 woodJohn Letters T-Series 5 Wood (18°) – I think this is the only surviving club from my first set of adult clubs and as such must be 10+ years old

I just can’t seem to justify taking it out of the bag, I have a few weeks where i can’t hit it at all and then she’ll come back strong and long!

Ping i200 ironsPing i200 (orange) – I got fitted for these around February by Dave Delaney at Bradley Hall Golf Club

Dave is well worth a visit! Straight talking and really knows his stuff.

The new irons took some getting used to and now confidence in them is building.

I feel like a its just a matter of time before i post a good low number!

Nike Method PutterNike Method – I like the look and feel of Nike golf equipment so for a putter it makes sense.

The Nike Method comes in all shapes and sizes, mine is a heel shafted, groove faced putter.

I think its a shame they have stopped making new equipment moving forward.

I’ve used a few different balls this year but i seem to be settling on Srixon.

The new Srixon Ultisoft ball was recommended during a ball fitting.

I can’t say i’ve really seen any difference or improvement over the Srixon Soft Feel but i’m going to stick with it for now.
